I got a bunch of goodies in my Fallmageedon Swap package today:

The Wayfarer scarf pattern, very interesting looking knit, a coffee/tea cup, some VERY cute small gift cards with a sheep on them, and because I like flavored popcorn, some popcorn seasoning, in dill pickle and Ketchup flavors! Can’t wait to try those.  And last but not least…Some awesome yarn!

Oh, and as a side note, here is my finished CloudSpotting, SW BFL from Highland Handmades, 8 oz = about 600 yards of about a DK/light worsted weight.

It is a Schacht Matchless and I’m loving spinning on this wheel.

and this is the first thing I have spun and plied on her:

4 oz of Superwash Merino from Highland Handmades in the colorway Cloud Spotting

stripped into 3 pieces, and triple plied

about 311 yards in about a DK weight (14-16 WPI)

Hat A Swatch 1

Here is the swatch for Hat B, it is more brown than the yarn is really,

more lavenders and browns mixed up in the rest of the yarn:

This is attempt 1 at Hat A, the cable pattern really seems

to be dissappearing, and this yarn is a wool/mohair mix that is not

all that soft:

This is the final brim for hat A, it is made out of Falkland, and is pretty, hopefully it softens up some when it’s washed, it almost feels like cotton:

And here is the one attempt at the brim for Hat B, which is working out nicely:

Here is what I’m thinking for hat A, it is some of my Handspun from Friend’s Folly Farm 50% wool/50% mohair, and came out kinda marled.

Not a very good shot, taken with the ipod…will have to wait until I can catch the girlie wearing it.  It went to college to be a hug when she is missing home.

First I bought some soap and a felted-soap making kit, even came with the Kool-aid to dye the fiber with before felting. I got an extra bar of soap, I am addicted to those soaps I swear. Then we visited a bunny, her name was Ivy, a giant german angora and she was beautiful, and albino with the red eyes and everything, red eyes kinda freak me out.

Then I visited Heather at Highland Handmade…and I kinda went nuts….

I scored some Superwash Merino top  in Vintage 4 oz (kinda squished in there on the left)

Some Sugarmaple sock in the Hope Colorway,

More Superwash merino in Clouds 8 oz and candy apple red 8 oz,

and there is a 2.8 oz bird’s eye maple spindle hiding in there.

I also got a couple of books for Village Books, Knit2Together, used, I’ve been wanting this one for a while; and Naughty Needles, such funny patterns, and to be honest, it’s fun to embarrass the daughters by buying this kind of thing! LOL  I also got  No Idle Hands Audiobook from www.outloudaudiobooks.com

So, I did not Need more fiber, but I’m stalking up for the winter months of no shows to go to.

as a bonus, when I got home I had club fiber from Crown Mountain Farms…I’d take a picture but the camera battery died.

oops! I’m so bad at this blogging thing!  Okay, too much to try to keep up with, so will add what I need to when I need to.  But some stuff I do want to share!  I finished my first lace shawl, the Clapotis doesn’t count  I did the She-Knits Mystery Kal #4, called Robin and it was fun and came out GREAT

I also finished up a Baby Surprise Jacket, bonnet, and Saartje’s booties for a friend’s daughter, they have been given away at the shower last weekend and were duly oohed and awed over.

I needed a model for the bonnet, Cal was not impressed!
