Went to FiberMaine-ia today in Orono. It coincided with Homecoming weekend, so the campus was NUTS with people everywhere. My Girlios met up with me and we perused the fibery offerings. I did not take any classes, some day I’ll get the courage to and maybe plan a night on the mainland so I don’t feel rushed.

First I bought some soap and a felted-soap making kit, even came with the Kool-aid to dye the fiber with before felting. I got an extra bar of soap, I am addicted to those soaps I swear. Then we visited a bunny, her name was Ivy, a giant german angora and she was beautiful, and albino with the red eyes and everything, red eyes kinda freak me out.

Then I visited Heather at Highland Handmade…and I kinda went nuts….

I scored some Superwash Merino top  in Vintage 4 oz (kinda squished in there on the left)

Some Sugarmaple sock in the Hope Colorway,

More Superwash merino in Clouds 8 oz and candy apple red 8 oz,

and there is a 2.8 oz bird’s eye maple spindle hiding in there.

Oh, but that’s not all, oh no….

1050 yards of laceweight 100% Tencel from End of the World Farm

8 oz of Merino roving/top

and some awesome Yarn ball and needle Earrings

 

I also got a couple of books for Village Books, Knit2Together, used, I’ve been wanting this one for a while; and Naughty Needles, such funny patterns, and to be honest, it’s fun to embarrass the daughters by buying this kind of thing! LOL  I also got  No Idle Hands Audiobook from www.outloudaudiobooks.com

So, I did not Need more fiber, but I’m stalking up for the winter months of no shows to go to.

 

as a bonus, when I got home I had club fiber from Crown Mountain Farms…I’d take a picture but the camera battery died.

What a good day…
